DIOT
The DIOT (Declaración Informativa de Operaciones con Terceros, informative return on transactions with third parties) is the return in which a Mexican taxpayer reports its transactions with third parties to the SAT, filed by companies with their password on the SAT's new platform.
The SAT, Mexico’s tax administration, lists the DIOT among the informative returns on its Declaraciones y pagos para empresas page (returns and payments for companies), alongside the multiple informative return and the return on relevant transactions. The taxpayer files it with its password on the new platform: it enters the service, fills in the form and submits the return. Acknowledgments of returns filed on the previous platform are looked up in a separate service, and reprinting DIOT acknowledgments has its own entry on the same page, accessed October 17, 2026.
Odoo 20 builds the DIOT report vendor by vendor from the payments registered on vendor bills, split by type of VAT, including VAT on imports, and downloads a 54-column TXT file which, according to its documentation, is uploaded to the SAT form and reduces manual entry. Each vendor needs its tax ID (RFC), its country and its type of operation, as the Mexican localization guide explains.
