Odoo Enterprise implementation
From the operational assessment to the day Odoo becomes the normal way of working.
Implementing Odoo Enterprise in a mid-sized company means putting the whole operation on a single database: sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting and payroll stop living in separate systems and spreadsheets. The implementation starts before the first screen, by understanding how the company operates: how an order comes in, who approves it, when it becomes an invoice and where the data gets lost between one department and the next. That decides what gets configured, what gets built and in which order each process goes live.
What it solves
The point at which a mid-sized company has outgrown what spreadsheets and single-department systems can hold together. Each department keeps its own records, inventory only reconciles on the day it is counted, and management gets the full picture assembled by hand. Odoo Enterprise brings those departments into a single database; the implementation is what makes that database reflect how the company works today and how it needs to work tomorrow and, for those operating in Mexico, with the Mexican localization ready to issue CFDIs, the electronic invoices Mexico’s tax authority (SAT) requires.
Who it is for
Mid-sized companies in Mexico, Latin America and the United States that run several departments at once and make decisions at the top: owners, general management and finance sit at the table, together with the people who run each process. They come from spreadsheets, from an accounting package or from another ERP —CONTPAQi, Aspel, SAP Business One, NetSuite or Business Central— and need the change not to stop the operation.
How we work
With Quantum Garage’s methodology, which supports the company before, during and after go-live:
- Quantum Ready makes the critical processes clear and documented while the implementation moves forward.
- Quantum Sequence is the implementation, in cycles: it turns the assessment into an Odoo that runs the operation.
- Quantum Success supports adoption after go-live, until the team runs the system on its own.
The same order rules the whole journey: nothing is configured before it is assessed, nothing goes live before it is tested, and no team is left on its own before it is trained. What Odoo already ships comes first, and what it does not ship is designed and built by Quantum Garage’s Fábrica de Disrupción in custom development.
What you get
- Odoo Enterprise running the company’s processes, on the hosting that fits: Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise.
- Opening balances reconciled at cut-off: trial balance, receivables and inventory.
- For those operating in Mexico, the Mexican localization configured and tested: CFDI 4.0, payment complements and, when the operation needs them, Carta Porte, customs pedimentos and payroll.
- A team trained to run the system, and adoption supported after go-live.
The project ends when the system becomes the normal way of working, not on go-live day.
Where it matters most
Each industry has its own breaking point, and the implementation starts there. In a distribution company, it is the margin earned on each customer’s price and lost on the batch that expires or the invoice that is never collected. In manufacturing, the scrap and the real cost of each order, known today only at month-end. In retail, stores that sell and invoice each at its own point of sale, and in professional services, hours logged from memory that never get billed.
The guides that explain it
The guide on how to implement Odoo in a mid-sized company walks through the phases, data migration, cut-off and go-live. The one on migrating to Odoo from another ERP explains what is brought over and how balances are reconciled, and the Odoo Enterprise licensing guide explains how the subscription is billed and how a user is counted.
Industries where it applies most
- RetailIn retail, every store sells, collects and invoices at its own point of sale, and the full chain only comes into view once the month has closed.
- ManufacturingIn a manufacturing plant, the scrap and the real cost of each order become known at month-end, when the inventory adjustment no longer explains anything.
- DistributionIn distribution, margin is won in each customer's price and lost in the lot that expires in the warehouse or the invoice that never gets collected.

Operations assessment
Tell us how your company works today and what is costing it the most. We use that to prepare the first conversation, which starts with your operation and gets to Odoo later.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an Odoo Enterprise implementation cost for a mid-sized company?
It depends on what the operation needs: how many processes and departments are in scope, how much is solved through configuration and how much has to be built, how much data is migrated and how clean it is, and how much of the Mexican localization is used. Quantum Garage’s services are contracted as consulting hours, under its terms and conditions, and the Odoo licenses are paid separately. The operational assessment is what makes an estimate possible.
How long does an Odoo implementation take?
The same factors as the cost decide it, plus one date the project does not control: the accounting calendar. The Odoo 20 documentation names the end of the fiscal year as the easiest moment to move the books and advises against doing it in the middle of a tax period, so go-live is planned against that date.
Are the Odoo Enterprise licenses included in the implementation?
No. The Odoo Enterprise subscription is a direct relationship between the company and Odoo S.A.; Quantum Garage, as a partner, can handle the purchase, and its own services are contracted separately. The price depends on the plan and the number of users, as the licensing guide explains.
Should we choose Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting?
All three run the same Odoo Enterprise; what changes is who runs the infrastructure and what code can be installed. Odoo Online does not accept custom modules, so an implementation with its own code goes to Odoo.sh or on-premise, such as Nivolty’s CloudCore, and both require the Custom plan.
What happens to the data in our current system?
It is brought into Odoo by importing data: master data, the balances at the cut-off date —trial balance, open invoices and bills, inventory and banks— and, in Mexico, what is needed to keep issuing payment complements. History stays in the previous system for reference, and the migration is done when Odoo’s trial balance, receivables and inventory reconcile with the previous system’s at the same date.
What happens after go-live?
Adoption begins: Quantum Success supports the team until it runs the system on its own, and support and continuous improvement keep the system in step as the operation changes.
