Odoo Studio
Odoo Studio is the Odoo Enterprise tool for customizing Odoo without coding knowledge, used to add or modify fields, views, models, automation rules, webhooks, PDF reports, approval rules and security rules in any app.
Studio works inside the user interface: according to the Odoo 20.0 documentation, accessed October 17, 2026, it opens from its icon in the app and model you want to modify. Whatever is built with it is stored in the database, and Odoo groups it in a module called studio_customization, which can be exported and imported into another database on the same version and with the same apps.
It comes with the Custom plan of Odoo Enterprise and works on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and on-premise; the Odoo 20 Community code does not include its module. It also accepts code: an automation rule can run Python, and maintenance of that code is not included in the Standard or Custom plans and is billed separately. When upgrading, Odoo’s upgrade service converts Studio customizations as long as Studio stays installed and the subscription is active.
